Registration for Free Transnet access permits to enter and fish in the Durban harbour



REGISTRATION FOR FREE TRANSNET ACCESS PERMITS TO ENTER AND FISH IN THE DURBAN HARBOUR

The KZN Subsistence Fisher folks, an affiliate of SDCEA, hereby notifies fisher folks who have still not received their permits or have not applied to please come forward to 44 Winder Street on Saturday 16th May and Sunday 17th May 2015.We wish to inform you that the first 80 applicants will be accommodated on Saturday and 80 applicants on Sunday .Thereafter the process will continue every Saturday and Sunday  until the purpose of this program of action is for fisher folks to take their fishing grounds back from their government. We encourage all fisher-folks to join together and put pressure on all government to ensure that fishing as a livelihood, remains at the forefront of overcoming poverty. For too long government has ignored the rights of fishermen and support other users of the beaches and harbours outstanding applications are completed.

*NB* Please bring along original and copy of your identity document

The process will start as follows:

Start Date of Registration –Saturday 17th May 2015 and Sunday 18th May 2015
Venue: 44Winder Street –Transnet Permit Office
Time: 7:30 am

If you do not have any permit application forms, these will be handed out at 07.30am at this meeting by KZN Subsistence officials
