No to Xenophobia: Remember ALL lives matter
Durban, 01
May 2015. A highlight of the revulsion in the recent xenophobia attacks that
seem to be gaining impetus in each city it passes in South Africa. Every human
being has a right to life and this right should be respected, and not be
deprived because of their nationality. The South Durban Community Environmental
Alliance (SDCEA)[1] and the Right2Know[2] will be hosting ‘Remember black lives
matter’ seminar on the 1st
May 2015 at the Austerville Civic Hall, at 10am.
The seminar
will be in a panel discussion on xenophobia and the Marikana massacre. In
attendance will be top speakers from affected communities, Ashwin Desai, Percy
Nhau and other prominent speakers. There will also be a screening of the DVD
miners shot down showing just what took place on the day of the Marikana.
Let’s come
together and stop the ignorance amongst our people, and senseless attacks on
innocent people.
Date: 01 May 2015
Venue: Austerville Civic centre / hall
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
